Just be happy!!!

It’s far too late for me to be up… it’s 11:30 p.m. but I can’t seem to make myself be tired!! Oh well, I finished Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. SUCH A GOOD AUTHOR!!! I’ve started in on Sense and Sensibility. : )

Lately I’ve felt that everything I do is rather monotonous and unimportant….and my mood has been rather apathetic for the past week or so…I was venting to my sweet husband who hears me complain far too much when he said something to the effect of, “Why don’t you just be happy then?”

WHAT!? That’s absurd, you can’t just be happy….can you? Yes, yes you can. Russell was absolutely right (as he usually is). He’s far more optimistic than I could ever dream of being and it’s a very good thing too, since I am a rather pessimistic person. So I resolved to just be happy, it went like many resolutions do---really well for the first couple of hours. : ) No but really, I try to work on it a little every day with Russell there to help me of course, he’s very good at that too. Also, having three sweet 3-year olds run up to me today to tell me that they love me helped! But anyhow, Russell is better than me at most things to be honest… Oh how I just love my dear husband!!!

Also, I know a lot of people who lately are trying to get pregnant, are pregnant, or have new little babies… it’s so very very sweet to me to see so many people blessed with babies, a little jealous too if I’m going to be outright honest. I love children….like I LOVE them and would love to have one of my own buuuut I know I’m not quite ready for that yet! Still, it’s sweet to see wonderful people in all walks of life having beautiful little babies!! So, congrats to all of my wonderful friends who are pregnant or recently mommied and daddied even if it’s not your first! : )

P.s. we just got this sweet little guy, Raider!!! I think his name suits him being as he is black and white and we’ve already bought him a red collar and a Texas Tech dog tag. : )
