Lubbock or Leave it!

Every time I promise that I'm going to be better about posting I don't post for months...so maybe I should just stop committing to posting often and THEN I'll post more often...

So anyway, Russell and I spent last weekend in Amarillo and had a blasty blast, see?

This pretty much defines our marriage. :)

The Fair in Amarillo!

It helped to reinforce the decision we've made to move to Amarillo after I graduate (C'mon, May!!!!!). There, Russell will finish his Bachelors Degree at West Texas A&M University and then we'll head off to Portland where Russell will obtaina Masters in Hospital Administration. Yeah, Portland. Now I know what y'all are thinking, "But Rachel, you're such a home body, how in the world will you live that far away from your family. I.DON'T.KNOW. But I'm hoping our moving to Amarillo for the next 3ish years will help the distance of Portland not be so much to bear. :/ We shall see...in a few years.

I can by no means say that I love Lubbock itself but I do love many things that are in Lubbock. I love the growth of the church, I love Texas Tech University and I mostly love that I my bestest best friend is here! (But he's from Utah so I guess technically the last part doesn't count? I should love Utah for that...?)

However indifferent I may feel towards Lubbock it has wonderful wonderful people in it's city limits. It has been good to Russell and I...and Kaia and Raider. :) And I can thank Lubbock later... but like my mom always told us,

"I can't miss you till you're gone!" 

Maybe when I'm gone I'll miss Lubbock...probably not.
