Sweet Baby Bear, May
24, 2012
Guess what,
Baby bear!!! You’re a BOY!!!!! We sat in the Doctor’s office waiting and
waiting for what seemed like ages, though it was probably only 5 minutes. I was
sitting in the chair-so nervous-waiting to hear them call my name. I was scared
that even though they told me they would be able to see you that they wouldn’t because
I’m only 17 weeks. When we got to the room where we were to have the sonogram and
I was practically shaking I was so excited! The conversation went something
like this with the nurse:
Nurse: “So,
mom and dad,” (we love being called mom and dad, by the way) “do we want to
find out wh-“
Russell and
I:”YES!!! Tell us!”
You were
not being very cooperative with getting your picture taken like you usually
are-this is how I can be certain you’re my son…you’re stubborn. So after much
poking and shaking and “Come on, you turkey” she finally got you to flip
juuuuust right. And that is the first time we saw your wee man parts. ;)
We’re so
happy to FINALLY be able to call you by your name we feel inspired to give you.
In the sacred stillness of a quiet Sunday we felt so impressed about your name-it
was unmistakable and we are so unbelievably excited to know a little more about
you.
Unusual as
it may seem to most people, we are keeping your name to ourselves and a few
close friends and family. We just feel that since your name is such an
important part of you it should be kept with those people who truly care about
our family.
Anyway, I
always thought I wanted a girl but each day that I go into work and see all the
little boys I fall more and more in love with knowing that I will soon have a
little boy to love all over. You are loved so much by so many people, already!
It’s amazing to me how you make people feel and you’re not even here yet. I
know you can already hear everyone telling you how much they love you and how
excited they are to hold you and kiss you through the thin little walls you
call home.
Until we
get to meet you, sweet boy, keep kicking mommy’s tummy to let me know you’re
still there…just maybe stop kicking so much at night when it’s time for bed. :)
Love,
Your ever adoring Mother.
