One.busy.week.

Yeah, I suck. It's been over a week. But it was a long, long week. Therefore I think that last week should have been my freebie. Okay, I'm done making excuses.

Last week was the "real" first week of classes-I actually started having to do things for my class that I'm a TA in-you know, grade papers and stuff (blaghhh, I could never be a teacher without a TA to do all the crap I have to do). It was also my first full week interning at the Women's Protective Shelter which was interesting to say the least and the best part of last week? Going to my Pa's house on Saturday for his birthday (which is actually tomorrow). My mom (who is THE best cook in the world and that is in no way, shape, or form an exaggeration) made chopped bbq and brought buns and chips and we had bbq sandwiches and chips and waaay too much Dr. Pepper and just laughed and talked and did everything families get to do together. I also made that tree picture for Pa, except it was with his and my Nana's anniversary and their names and their kids, grandkids, great-grandkids, etc.... It was fun, unfortunately I'm an idiot and forgot to take a pic of the one I made so this picture will have to suffice and you will all have to pretend that mine looked as good as this one does. :)

I decorated my classroom at school to be all Valentine's Day'd out, (that wasn't even close to being a real word but just work with me here...) see? I have some window clings (you know, the clingy things that go on the window....) to put up too, I just haven't gotten around to it yet. Eleven 2-year olds all vying for your attention makes it a little hard to get things accomplished, especially when you're watching a few in particular for signs of "needing to potty" because you're trying to potty train them. I'm telling you, daycare workers are underpaid, and I don't just say that because I am one. I mean why are we paying minimum wage to those people that we are entrusting with the LIVES of our CHILDREN. That just doesn't seem right-I would pay anything, ANYTHING to someone who was responsible for my child's life for up to 8 hours a day. Just sayin'....

GIANT Valentine's Day card with their hands traced and colored in

Lovely foil hearts hanging from the ceiling...not a very good picture.

"Bee Mine" "Love Bug" and a heart wreath...thanks, Pinterest. :)

Anyhow, other than that school has been insane but I'll save that for the next time I post...like tomorrow because y'all are DEFINITELY going to want to hear what Tech has done this time. :) Until then.....
