I was just thinking today about all the friends that have come and gone in my life and there have always been a few who remain constant.
Sophomore year of high school I walked into the choir room...no longer a fish. I was in the choir where the girls and boys were combined--I already knew most of the girls from freshman choir but there was one that I didn't know yet. Kara Burriss, a sunny blonde cheerleader and I became friends fairly quickly. Her cheerful disposition and quirky habits {{neosporin}} was always a day brightener. We graduated high school, she went to Texas A&M and though I despise the Aggies I love her.

Senior year of high school I met Christin Baloglou...no, back up. I met her my freshman year when we were trying out for All-State choir together, but we really became friends our senior year. It was an interesting start... we both thought that we hated the other but 5 years later and we're still each other's {{# 1's}}. We bonded our senior year over boys, crazy girls, and Friends...we still do. After graduation she went to Texas Tech and I followed a year later with A LOT of encouragement from her and Sterna. What a wonderful best friend I've had to help me through college-she gave me a tour before I came, told me the best places to eat in town, and told me which dorm to live in--I am blessed and I love her.

Freshman year of college I met Valencia Marvray...WHAT a character. She and I were awkward at first towards each other...but we're both kind of awkward people so it's only right. We ended up bonding...and I can't remember if it was over Animal Planet, TLC, or just making fun of someone in our quirky, sarcastic way {{dumb girls in the hallway, and the crazy CA}}. Whatever it was we quickly became friends and by Christmas, I had her singing "BYYYE" and I felt a small sense of victory! haha She and I have been through a lot in three years....I can't even believe we've been friends for that long already-I love her.

There's a saying that goes, "Friends are the family you choose." I believe that is very true and I feel like I've chosen the best {{extended}} sisters anyone could ask for. So I guess this is a long, cheesy tribute to ALL of my friends. Those who are mentioned and all of my friends who are not--you are loved by me and I could not be where I am today without ALL of you. So, thank you! :)
