•In the separation anxiety stage
Dear Brinley,
You are in a very difficult stage right now. It's hard for me, you and your dad and brother. You're cutting several teeth all at once, you've been sick a few times, and you've hit the separation anxiety stage. I'm exhausted and sometimes I'm not sure I can do another day. But I do. And it's worth it, even if it is the hardest thing I've ever done. You and your brother are worth every hour of sleep I lose, every shade darker the bags under my eyes get, my gray hair, and my constant yawning.
You continue to amaze and terrify me with how quickly you're growing. You took a few steps the other day without my help. You climb (and sometimes fall down) the stairs all on your own. You command attention from your brother and sometimes you even lead play time.
Your features are still so tiny but your personality is so big and vivacious! I sometimes forget you're already 11 months and then sometimes I forget you're *only* 11 months.
You have a pair of jammies that I love- they say, "Smart Brave Strong". That's what you are now and it's what I hope you continue to be.
Love,
Mama
